I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the dish! Thanks for the feedback and leaving a positive review.
The Sichuan peppercorn and chili pepper adds a nice aroma to the dish. Have fun with the ingredients! 🙂

I had to exclude but did add Red Pepper Chili Flakes to compensate. Overall this was delicious! We thought we’d have leftovers…but no such luck. This will definitely be in the rotation for us! Ordered the peppers and purchased Sichuan peppercorns so we can try it with all intended ingredients next time around.

Yes you can! You can use 1/4 chili flakes in the sauce to add some heat and smokiness. But I also think you can skip it all together and it won’t affect the result too much. Happy cooking and let me know how it goes 🙂

Are there any substitutions for the dried peppers? I thought my grocery store would have and was planning on making tomorrow for lunch!

This is interesting to hear. Did I have these functions before (editing writing and highlight in printing format)? I didn’t even know.
I will look into this.

I would just use chicken broth to replace the wine. It doesn’t make a huge difference in this recipe.

Excited to try the chicken.
Is there anything non-alcoholic to substitute for the dry sherry or shaoxing wine please?

Cant’ say I like your new recipe printing format. As the writing is not editable, there’s no way to highlight temperatures, don’t-miss steps, etc, as well as no way to change the font size. Using Optical Character Recognition is a work-around, but introduces errors , etc. (especially with Chinese characters).
Consider an option to have editable text, please.
